Riley Buller chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Nolan Willoughby contributed with 2 assists. Nick Stockert did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the second period, Doner opened the scoring for the Quake with a goal at 0:33 with helpers from his linemates, Willoughby and Pelto. Stockert answered for the Wild with a goal at 5:18 with a helper from Walters. Moore answered for Yellowstone with a goal at 11:43 with assists from his teammates Buller and Walworth. Oberg answered for Gillette with a goal at 15:05 with helpers from his linemates, Mitzel and Stockert.
In the third, Johnson answered for the Quake with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:14 with an assist from defenseman Stewart. Buller quickly followed with a goal at 15:52 with helpers from Willoughby and Schuldt.
Yellowstone’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Waszczenko’s big night as he stopped 32 of the 34 shots he faced. Waszczenko’s counterpart, Grogan, also had a big night, managing to stop 35 of 39, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (33-7-3-2).
