Iniaz Steyaert delivered for his team with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Kobe Kitagawa had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 2 assists. Misha Akatnov contributed with 2 assists.
During the first, Cottle opened the scoring for Missoula with a goal at 8:40 with helpers from teammates Akatnov and Blondin. Stewart quickly followed with a goal at 8:58 with helpers from Kitagawa and Steyaert. Johnson quickly followed with a goal at 9:26 with assists from his linemates, Steyaert and Moore. Dennison answered for Missoula with a goal at 19:31 with helpers from his linemates, Vincent and Akatnov.
During the second period, Steyaert answered for the Quake with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 17:12 with assists from his linemates, Kitagawa and Doner.
Yellowstone’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Waszczenko’s big night as he stopped 75 of the 77 shots he faced. Waszczenko’s counterpart, Wiest, also had a big night, managing to stop 50 of 53, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (48-7-0-3).
