The Yellowstone Quake's offense had a big night, peppering the Helena Bighorns with 37 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Jake Ford and never looked back.
Cole Stewart contributed with 2 assists and Jack Moore did his part, adding 2 assists.
During the first, Seitz opened the scoring for Helena with a goal at 3:46 with a helper from his linemate Gavrilenko. Stewart quickly followed with a goal at 4:57 with helpers from Stewart and Moore. Ford deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:18 with assists from his linemates, Moore and Johnson. Sievek put in a goal at 11:31 with helpers from his teammates Stewart and Doner.
Yellowstone’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Waszczenko’s big night as he stopped 28 of the 29 shots he faced. Waszczenko’s counterpart, Battaglia, also had a big night, managing to stop 34 of 37, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (10-2-1-0).
