Jake Ford chipped in with 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Jack Moore delivered for his team with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist). Isaac Vincent did his part, adding 2 goals.
In the first, Vincent opened the scoring for Missoula with a goal at 3:23. Ford answered for the Quake with a goal at 8:03 with helpers from his teammates Buller and Stewart. Johnson put in a goal at 13:20 with an assist from defenseman Shuldt.
In the second, Ford deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:47 with helpers from Buller and Rasmussen.
In the third, Vincent answered for the Junior Bruins with a goal at 7:59 with an assist from his linemate Jaffe. Moore quickly followed with a goal at 8:28 with helpers from Shuldt and Ford. Stewart scored a goal at 15:52 with an assist from Moore. Sievek netted a goal at 18:39 with a helper from Buller.
Yellowstone’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Persson’s big night as he stopped 25 of the 27 shots he faced. Persson’s counterpart, Yoder, also had a big night, managing to stop 47 of 52, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (15-2-1-0).
