In the first period, Moore opened the scoring for the Quake with a goal at 13:51 with helpers from his teammates Sievek and Buller.
During the second, Stewart netted a goal at 0:42 with helpers from Stewart and Moore. Cottle finally put the Junior Bruins on the board with a goal at 6:35 with an assist from Jaffe. Buller answered for Yellowstone with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 9:04 with helpers from Stewart and Stewart.
In the third, Buller deposited a goal at 1:24 with assists from his linemates, Moore and Ford. Akatnov answered for Missoula with a goal at 7:32 with helpers from his linemates, Cunningham and Moistner. Doner answered for the Quake with a goal at 16:11 with assists from his linemates, Willoughby and Stewart.
Yellowstone’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Persson as he stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced. Persson’s counterpart, Wiest, also had a big night, managing to stop 59 of 64, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (28-5-2-0).
