The Yellowstone Quake bounced back from a rough loss on Thursday to defeat Billings on Saturday and maintain a tie for second place in the AWHL standings.
The Quake held a 3-2 lead heading into the third period against Missoula on Thursday, but the Maulers scored four goals in the last period to defeat the Quake 6-4. It was Yellowstone’s second loss since its nine game winning streak came to an end.
The Quake’s George Splichal had a hat-trick and tied the game at four in the third period. Missoula would score its fifth goal with less than eight minutes left and add an empty net goal to finish the game.
