Great Falls boosted by Hauser's play in net, beats Yellowstone 5-1


Evan Hauser had a standout game with 34 saves, and the xGreat Falls Americans beat the Yellowstone Quake 5-1.


xGreat Falls pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 14 penalty minutes.

The Americans were led by Dylan Garton, who had one goal and one assist. Garton scored 14:51 into the first period to make the score 2-0 xGreat Falls. Steven Goran assisted on the tally.

Yellowstone was unable to stop xGreat Falls from sending pucks towards the net, and the Americans eventually piled up 40 shots on goal.

xGreat Falls also had goals scored by Austin Krantz, who had two and Cody Page and Donovan Mattfeldt, who scored one goal each. In addition, xGreat Falls received assists from Lucas Stover, Austin Nottke, and Aaron McInnis, who each chipped in one.

The Quake's offense rang up 35 shots on xGreat Falls' net.

Yellowstone was led by James Pyle, who scored the team's only goal. Pyle scored on the power play 13:07 into the second period to make the score 2-1 xGreat Falls. A holding penalty on Reed Link had put the Quake on the power play. TJay Lozier provided the assist.

The Americans registered two goals on five power play opportunities. Sean Leahy recorded 35 saves for Yellowstone. The Quake incurred 42 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
