The Yellowstone Quake's offense had a big night, peppering the Missoula Junior Bruins with 45 shots throughout the game, to go along with Reid Waszczenko's shutout. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead late in the first on a goal from Cole Stewart and never looked back.
Ian Doner did his part, adding 3 points (2 goals, 1 assist) and Cole Stewart chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the first period, Stewart opened the scoring for the Quake with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 16:56 with a helper from his linemate Doner.
During the second, Doner netted a goal at 11:10 with a helper from his teammate Stewart. Doner deposited a goal at 15:55 with assists from his linemates, Pelto and Buller.
In the third period, Pelto put in a goal at 10:56 with an assist from defenseman Rasmussen.
Yellowstone’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Waszczenko’s shutout, as he stopped all 28 of the shots he faced. Waszczenko’s counterpart, Yoder, also had a big night, managing to stop 41 of 45, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (9-2-1-0).
