Jonatan Persson came up big, stopping 37 of 39 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead before the halfway point in the third on a goal from Mason Stewart.
Ian Doner contributed with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Mason Stewart had a busy night with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
In the second, Vandenbos opened the scoring for Great Falls with a goal at 4:35 with helpers from his linemates, Dearing and Janke.
During the third period, Buller finally put the Quake on the board with a goal at 0:13 with helpers from Stewart and Stewart. Mcsharry quickly followed with a goal at 0:40 with an assist from his teammate Juliussen. Moore answered for Yellowstone with a goal at 3:02 with assists from his linemates, Buller and Ford. Stewart netted what turned out to be the game winning goal at 7:38 with helpers from Stewart and Doner. Doner put in a goal at 13:22 with helpers from his linemates, Stewart and Pelto.
The Quake’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Persson’s big night as he stopped 37 of the 39 shots he faced. Persson’s counterpart, Willy, also had a big night, managing to stop 33 of 37, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (13-2-1-0).
