Reid Waszczenko came up big, stopping 32 of 33 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead early in the third on a goal from Cole Stewart.
Cole Stewart chipped in with 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Jack Moore did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist).
During the first period, Moore opened the scoring for Yellowstone with a goal at 14:41 with helpers from Stewart and Stewart.
In the second, Mack finally put Great Falls on the board with a goal at 17:13 with helpers from his linemates, Rath and Juliussen.
During the third, Stewart answered for the Quake with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 0:16 with assists from teammates Shuldt and Buller. Buller scored a goal at 8:11 with helpers from his linemates, Moore and Willoughby.
Yellowstone’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Waszczenko’s big night as he stopped 32 of the 33 shots he faced. Waszczenko’s counterpart, Sharp, also had a big night, managing to stop 30 of 33, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (30-6-2-1).
