The Yellowstone Quake's offense had a big night, peppering the Long Beach Sharks with 34 shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead before the halfway point in the second on a goal from Max Meyer.
Hunter Ruschmeyer chipped in with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists) and Curt Greenbush had no trouble finding the scoresheet, adding 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists). Carmine Taffo delivered for his team with 2 goals and Oskar Lindberg contributed with 2 assists.
In the first, Lawman opened the scoring for the Quake with a goal at 8:26 with helpers from Greenbush and Ruschmeyer. Kelly put in a goal at 11:54 with helpers from his linemates, Lawman and Greenbush.
During the second, Taffo finally put the Sharks on the board with a goal at 4:40 with assists from Garcia and Lindberg. Meyer answered for the Quake with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 8:26 with helpers from his teammates Ruschmeyer and Doner. Ruschmeyer scored a goal at 13:13 with assists from Lawman and Stewart. Greenbush deposited a goal at 16:02 with a helper from Meyer.
In the third period, Taffo answered for the Sharks with a goal at 10:51 with assists from his linemates, Vitolins and Lindberg.
The Quake’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Ottenbacher as he stopped 24 of the 26 shots he faced. Ottenbacher’s counterpart, Van Wagner, also had a big night, managing to stop 16 of 21, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (48-5-0-3)
