During the second period, Moore opened the scoring for Yellowstone with a goal at 8:53 with helpers from his teammates Ford and Rasmussen. Stewart deposited what turned out to be the game winning goal at 15:31 with helpers from Stewart and Buller.
In the third, Buller put in a goal at 1:51 with assists from his linemates, Moore and Ford. Scheibel finally put the Bighorns on the board with a goal at 8:04. Moore answered for the Quake with a goal at 19:11 with assists from Stewart and Sievek.
Yellowstone’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Waszczenko’s big night as he stopped 41 of the 42 shots he faced. Waszczenko’s counterpart, Battaglia, also had a big night, managing to stop 58 of 61, but ultimately fell short.
This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (11-2-1-0).
