Doner's hat trick helped the Quake crush the Icedogs 8-0

Ian Doner led the way with a hat trick as the Yellowstone Quake crushed the Bozeman Icedogs 8-0 in a home game at Haynes Pavilion in Yellowstone. Jack Moore also had a big night with 4 points (1 goal, 3 assists). As well, John Bernhagen posted a shutout, stopping all 19 of Bozeman shots throughout the game. The Yellowstone Quake took the lead before the halfway point in the first on a goal from Riley Buller and never looked back.

Cole Stewart did his part, adding 2 points (1 goal, 1 assist) and Riley Buller contributed with 3 points (1 goal, 2 assists).

During the first period, Buller opened the scoring for the Quake with what turned out to be the game winning goal at 6:05 with helpers from his linemates, Ford and Moore. Doner put in a goal at 9:33 with helpers from Stewart and Stewart.

In the second, Doner netted a goal at 0:35 with assists from teammates Sievek and Pelto. Johnson deposited a goal at 14:52 with a helper from fellow Quake forward Moore. Dumont quickly followed with a goal at 16:16 with assists from his linemates, Willoughby and Harris. Doner quickly followed with a goal at 17:13 with helpers from his linemates, Buller and Moore.

During the third period, Stewart netted a goal at 14:24 with an assist from Doner. Moore quickly followed with a goal at 15:43 with helpers from Buller and Stewart.

The Quake’s victory was in no doubt helped out by Bernhagen’s shutout, as he stopped all 19 of the shots he faced. Bernhagen’s counterpart, Barrett, also had a big night, managing to stop 28 of 31, but ultimately fell short.

This win brings the Yellowstone Quake’s record to (20-2-1-0).
