Tier III Junior A hockey players come from around the region and the country, and they
are housed, or billeted, with host families in the community.
The host family plays a crucial role in the Yellowstone Quake organization.
Players range in age from 16-20, and players are encouraged to become a a part
of the family. Players need a private bedroom.
Quake players must adhere to a serious Code of Conduct, and they follow a fixed
schedule. They are expected to take care of their rooms and do their own
laundry. Many of the players will be in high school or taking college classes,
and others will have part time jobs. They will need housing throughout the
season, and many will stay after the season is done to complete classes. They
will return home for holidays.
To help with expenses, billet families receive a monthly stipend for housing a
player. They also receive two season tickets for each player billeted. More
than that, they have the opportunity to have a wonderful experience with a
young man who is striving to further his hockey career.
